Lourens Swart

B Proc and Diploma in Corporate Law (Cum Laude)
• Lourens has been practicing as an attorney of the High Court of South Africa since 1984 and as a conveyancer since 1991. Lourens is a founder member of PSN and runs its property and commercial practices.

• He lectures (for a number of years) at North-West University on constitutional law on behalf of the Law Society of South Africa.

• His skills base and experience include property related tax; interpretation of the Black Economic Empowerment Act and the Codes of Good Practice into BEE deals; legal aspects associated with business establishment, mergers and acquisitions, and related share transactions; all dimensions of town planning and property development and the drafting and reviewing of agreements.

 

Dr Nico Herbst

LLB, LLM (Public Law),  LLD (Constitutional Law) and Diploma in Insolvency Law (Cum Laude).

• Nico has been practicing as an attorney of the High Court of South Africa since 2004. He obtained a doctorate degree in constitutional law in 2006 and was appointed as a director of PSN in the same year.

• He is heading the firm's litigation and collections departments and specialises in commercial litigation. His experience extends to litigation in the field of law of contract, constitutional and administrative law, including property and restraints of trade.

• His practice includes general corporate and commercial transactions, such as debt securitisation, commercial leases, employment agreements and all aspects of the National Credit Act.
