Property Law
An extensive track record in all legal aspects of property:

Corporate and Commercial Law
The full range of corporate legal services that include:

  • Formation of companies; black economic empowerment structures that cover equity arrangements, consortiums and joint-ventures;  business establishment and corporate governance instruments.
  • Facilitating negotiations,  the formulation of contracts to conclude agreements reached for matters both within South Africa and internationally covering all of the above as well as a wide spectrum of other transactions such as mergers and acquisitions, procurement, selling and other trade arrangements; outsourcing and;  everyday commercial activities.

Debt management and debt collections
The management of debt by drafting actual credit applications, suitable agreements including suretyships and the collection of debts. In this regard, we propose various options, one of which is to do the work at risk and to charge an agreed collection fee only if monies are collected. We  deal with all aspects relating to the National Credit Act.

Municipal Law
We are recognized as a leader in this dynamic field of law, where many recently enacted legislation and regulations are promulgated. There is a lack of legal precedent and inadequate capacity in the structures of the State to guide Local Government Councils, and we  fulfill that void.

Wills, Estates and Planning
We endeavour to optimise the value that beneficiaries will derive and reflect not only the legal aspects that govern this field, but the human and emotional dimensions of the family entity, so often neglected by other sources of such advice, especially in the winding- up of deceased estates.

Consumer Law
We advise in all aspects of Consumer Law and conduct training sessions to comply with the Consumer Protection Act.

Litigation

  • Inevitably there are occasions where disputes between our clients and other parties end up in the civil or criminal courts. We are competent and have an enviable track record of thoroughness in our preparation, clarity in our briefing of Counsel (when the need arises to brief Counsel), knowledgeable and forceful in our argument, and professional at all times. We litigate in both the High Court and the Magistrate's Courts.
  • PSN has been involved in various landmark cases that have been reported and serve as legal precedent.
  • In many instances, alternative dispute resolution such as arbitration and mediation should be considered and we are well versed in advising clients in this regard.
